I'm from Singapore. Some have been saying that this is the best Thailand national football team ever. I'll reserve my judgement on that. They are still but only an U23 team. Their best days are still ahead of them. The best Thai team I've ever had the pleasure of laying my eyes on without a doubt is the Piyapong Pue-on-led (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5P22k6PCV-E) 1983 SEA Games winning team where you guys smashed my Singapore team on homeground containing no less than the great Fandi Ahmad himself in the Final that year :/.  That said, however, this U23 Thai team retained many of the best traits of past Thai teams e.g. blistering pace, raw power, precision. The Thai team in full flight is a most frightening prospect for any team in this region. Keep it up, in time to come you may just outshine even Piyapong's team! Nonetheless, you are deserved winners! Congratulations!

I'll never ever forget those times seating in a HDY, HKT or BKK coffeeshop when a football match is screened 'live', especially if Thailand happens to be playing. I must say, you can really bring the whole coffeeshop down. Thais really are passionate about your football. So long as you guys ain't playing against Singapore, I'll be rooting for your team ;).

I doubt Najib has the balls to do it. But if somehow he managed to find his balls and put Tun behind bars, he better brace himself for massive trouble on the streets. So does Mr Kangkong got the balls for it i.e. put an old man in prison?

First up, I am not a Thai and I do not claim to understand the Thai psyche perfectly. However I've been a very ardent lover of things Thai e.g. culture, people and the land. Make no mistake about it, this current crisis's roots are steeped in Thailand's identity i.e. King, Nation & Religion. King stands not just for the old man himself but his Chakri Dynasty, the nobility and the elite. While the actual personification of Nation in reality is the military - who feels it is their divine given right because over some 700 years, they have readily shed blood for every single inch of Thai soil and an independent Thai state. Hence they feel they are entitled to sack any government they aren't happy with, need be perhaps (?) even murder the King (revisit the motivations for the 1932 Revolution; Marshal Phibun Songram and what he stands for; and the circumstances behind the previous King Ananda Mahidol's death) should the latter not do its bidding.  While Religion in day-to-day existence really means nothing more than the all powerful Theravadan Bhuddist clergy.

That said, be it Thailand or any other country for what it is worth, no true democracy or peace or commonweatlh can ever prevail. Not when there is an elite with unfetted control over the economy. Not when money and/or a moneterist definition to one's value and worth holds sway. Unless every single business enterprise and industrial conglomerate; every single neighborhood; every single inch of the Earth is in the hands of the people, for the people and by the people and unless the concepts of greed; "Nation", "Nationality" and the "Nation State"; superiority of a certain ethnicity; religion; caste; gender; lifestyle preference; of man over his natural environment; etc are abolished, human conflicts are here to stay.

As an ex-soldier, I call on all currently bearing arms to think and think hard about where your loyalty should lie. Any a call for war is always the call of a bourgeois ruling (economic, social, political) elite and in any such wars, it is always the son or the daughter of the working class like you, like me who gets hurt, who gets maimed, who gets killed while bourgeois ruling (economic, social, political) elite and their kin and kith are safely tucked away in the comfort of some dacha, or a golf resort or casino, etc. What we need is not no government but a government for the people, of the people, by the people without political parties and politicians; without any artificial divides based on  nationality, class, race, religion, creed, gender, physical and mental ability, etc. I call on all - soldiers, workers, people of the world to rise up simultaneously and overthrow all of your bourgeois elite simultaneously. Learn from historical failures that is State Capitalism (e.g. the USSR, Warsaw Pact countries, China, etc) and embrace not any scam like "socialism-in-one-country" but embrace simultaneous global and permanent revolution. Educate, agitate, organize, mobilize! We have a world to win! Another world is possible! A world where humanity can be at peace with itself and at peace with its surrounding life-sustaining environment!

Hasta la Victoria Siempre!

If you are thinking of just cleaning up orphaned packages, unneeded dependencies from purged packages, leftover config files to removed packages, package cache, you can simply issue the following command (be sure to install deborphan before you execute this):

~$ sudo apt-get autoremove; sudo deborphan | xargs sudo apt-get -y remove --purge; sudo deborphan --guess-all | xargs sudo apt-get -y remove --purge; sudo deborphan --guess-dev | xargs sudo apt-get -y remove --purge; sudo aptitude purge ~c; sudo apt-get clean; sudo apt-get autoclean

But if you want to clean up other things e.g. broken links, thumbnail cache, general cruft, you will need bleachbit, the janitor in ubuntu tweak and/or fslint.

Not taking sides but both the mastermind (if there was one) and the murderer (the one who actually murdered) must face justice and be punished accordingly. No other way out. But seriously Tun is right, why did no one ever bothered to asked till now if Sirul had acted under order and if so who gave the order? Why?
