"Our turn now. To turn down the pencil, and shut down the screen. To smell the letters and lick the words. To print pleas and share revolts. The story of architects playing the alchemy of the words. We want to explore how architecture melts in the intersection with politics, technology, economy and social demur. We oppose to individualism, consumerism and accumulation. We propose to change the limited metrics of architecture—sqm, budgets, investments—and pose human relations in the center of our debates. We propose complexities: to use poetry, empathy, enthusiasm as new metrics to understand the nature of our cities. We propose to blatantly update our current architectural standards and transform them into stories. And build intangible architectures of nature-grids, time sequences and memories, myths and symbols anew."

C U S T O D I A N S of the world unite and take over!
in praise of open knowledge.
"We find ourselves at a decisive moment. This is the time to recognize that the very existence of our massive knowledge commons is an act of collective civil disobedience. It is the time to emerge from hiding and put our names behind this act of resistance. You may feel isolated, but there are many of us.

Share this letter—read it in public—leave it in the printer. Share your writing—digitize a book—upload your files. Don't let our knowledge be crushed. Care for the libraries—care for the metadata—care for the backup. Water the flowers—clean the volcanoes."

"This is a tale of two cities. One, designed and dreamt by the architect. The other, the result of regional, political and economic border disputes."

Thanks Continent. for publishing the article we wrote with +Cesar Reyes Najera  about archipelagos and enclaves for the issue 'Intangible Architectures.'
