The hotel is beautiful and well staffed. However, I had three bikes stole and one destroyed from a high traffic parking lot. One bike was stolen between 8 and 8.08AM as another guest took me to a bike that he thought might be mine. This was a col-de-sac turn-around parking lot that had several rooms that looked out on it (Heck I could see my car) and had lots of smokers coming and going in a nearby door...but no security camera's. Cops came and said the nice bike path behind was called The Transient Highway...hotel staff noted that crime had picked up after police stopped patrolling it. If they are bold enough to take a bike at 8.05AM here they will do worse soon.

Overall, this is a beautiful property. We stayed here for the Napa to Sonoma half marathon. It's a short drive to Sonoma and highway 12 through the vineyards is a beautiful drive. Just a short walk to the historic downtown area with lots of neat shops, lots of antique stores, and many restaurants. A little longer walks puts you in the main downtown area. Great location. The staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were very clean. Comfortable beds and spacious. Lots of space in the bathroom. For the price I would have expected a little bit more than the basic comforts. For example, I would have expected bathrobes and some of the "extras" that you typically see in the higher end hotels. We used the hot tub and the pool area was nice. The firepit was beautiful and all the seating made for a great place to relax. I didn't eat at the restaurant so not sure about the quality of the food.

This was a nice hotel at a good rate. Only stayed 1 night, but it was clean with a friendly staff.

Was less than impressed by this facility. I expect Hyatt properties to be pristine and staff to be exceptionally friendly. I left with the feeling that staff was rushed and had more important things to do than service customers. While the room was clean, it was lacking in amenities I have come to expect from Hyatt. This could be a location-dependent issue (it being in Santa Rosa), but it was disappointing. I have come to expect Internet access to be an amenity built into the cost of the room and was unpleasantly surprised to discover it was an additional charge. Even with paying for the privilege, the Internet access was extremely slow, causing my VPN connection to frequently disconnect - definitely not for the business traveler.

I can't believe this is a four star hotel. Booked a room for four people, room stayed set up for double occupancy through our entire stay, despite the reservations for four and alerting the front desk *several* times. I guess that extra $25 per person was for the privilege of getting to share glasses and towels? Cleanliness? On the surface, yes. But our bathroom trash had band aids in it on our arrival, the mattress had stains revealed by the poorly fitting sheets and mattress pad, and one of our two glasses was badly smudged as if it had already been used. Two days after checking out, I noticed unauthorized charges on my credit card. Apparently Hyatt Vineyard Creek allows people to charge room service to rooms that they are not staying in! How quaint. Update! When I requested the refund, they credited someone else! I pointed the error out to them, I imagine they never had the attention to detail to notice four digits. To leave on a positive note: We didn't get bed bugs or food poisoning. So that's a plus!

Very surprised at the other reviews. We spent three nights here and had a great time. The staff were really helpful and seemed more than happy to do so. The food in The Brasserie is really good as well.

We stayed here for free using Hyatt points on 2013-10-26. I'm sure glad I didn't pay for it! The king size bed felt more like a queen, it wasn't very comfortable, the internet is not free, they put us in room 318 which is right across from the elevator and we heard it all night long, even through ear plugs. The staff was nice though, but I would definitely never stay here again. The location isn't bad for Santa Rosa, but Santa Rosa is one of the least nice places in this area.
