This hotel was quite disappointing, especially for the price they charge. We got their best suite for two nights, for a getaway in the wine country. Very little attention to details. The bed headboard is very noisy, to the point of waking me up every time I turned sides during the night. I'm 6'1" and the shower is much lower than my head, forcing me to bend forward to wash my hair. The table lights were faulty and flickering a lot. The window screens weren't properly fixed. Old TV system, without HD channels. Internet is slow and they charge extra for more speed, what's very annoying. Anyway, we'll never be back, as there's plenty of other options in the area.

Quite overpriced! We paid $498 for 2 nights (including the tip) Cons: 1. Super slow internet. Rly? In this century? 2. Defective switch in the bathroom - the shower light. Also: extremely dirty ventilation grille (see photo). 3. Weird bathroom door design: a sliding door which does not fit into the adjacent frame; one can only pull it close to the door frame (with a visible space left in between) so it's impossible to close well or lock resulting in a lack of privacy. 4. Fairly loud/No soundproofing - I could hear everything happening in the hallway; lucky for us, we were lodged right in front of the elevator. If you open the windows, you can hear the constant hum of the highway (our room was toward the interior courtyard) so you have to decide whether you want fresh air or peace and quiet (actually, can't have either one :-) We also were right above someone smoking on the ground-level patio; opening the window actually made the air worse. 5. No view. This price supposedly included a view: we were placed in a 2nd-floor room looking directly into the branches of a very thick and bushy tree; couldn't see anything else. 6. Dated/tired and unremarkable room decor (hotel uploaded photos are very far from reality - aren't they always though?). Not enough space for clothes; there is a small closet with a few hangers and that's it, no shelves anywhere. 7. Bed is uneven, lumpy and uncomfortable. 8. Slow elevator/overwhelming traffic, software design bugs (?). Do yourself a favor and DO NOT press the floor # and then insert your room key because you will be spending quite a bit of time confined in that box (you'll get an error light several times before it gets going and while others are waiting on it); you should FIRST insert your keycard and THEN enter the floor #. 9. No breakfast (again, for this price). 10. Related to the area: quite high density of urban homelessness. Santa Rosa has the potential to be an international touristic attraction (my opinion). However there are so many sad/drunk/high-looking people loitering/setting up tents and slurring diatribes at passersby on every single street in the best downtown areas that I will be avoiding this city altogether. It's probably for the best anyway; otherwise I would be going to the Russian River Brewery and drinking beer way too often. Pros: urban area, the city, Russian River Brewery, the 6 miles + trail right behind the hotel, a pool (even if not very long - around 15 meters/49 feet) Package Room 214.00 x 2 Occupancy Tax 19.26 x 2 Tourism Assessment 4.28 x 2 Tourism Assessment - City 6.42 x 2 CA Assessment Fee 0.20 x 2 Total: 488.32 The three stars are mostly for the layout of the hotel, its gardens (including its overzealously named "sculpture garden") and the hotel's location (downtown area). The room itself is a generous 2.

Overall, this is a beautiful property. We stayed here for the Napa to Sonoma half marathon. It's a short drive to Sonoma and highway 12 through the vineyards is a beautiful drive. Just a short walk to the historic downtown area with lots of neat shops, lots of antique stores, and many restaurants. A little longer walks puts you in the main downtown area. Great location. The staff was incredibly friendly and the rooms were very clean. Comfortable beds and spacious. Lots of space in the bathroom. For the price I would have expected a little bit more than the basic comforts. For example, I would have expected bathrobes and some of the "extras" that you typically see in the higher end hotels. We used the hot tub and the pool area was nice. The firepit was beautiful and all the seating made for a great place to relax. I didn't eat at the restaurant so not sure about the quality of the food.

This was a nice hotel at a good rate. Only stayed 1 night, but it was clean with a friendly staff.

The hotel is beautiful and well staffed. However, I had three bikes stole and one destroyed from a high traffic parking lot. One bike was stolen between 8 and 8.08AM as another guest took me to a bike that he thought might be mine. This was a col-de-sac turn-around parking lot that had several rooms that looked out on it (Heck I could see my car) and had lots of smokers coming and going in a nearby door...but no security camera's. Cops came and said the nice bike path behind was called The Transient Highway...hotel staff noted that crime had picked up after police stopped patrolling it. If they are bold enough to take a bike at 8.05AM here they will do worse soon.

I can't believe this is a four star hotel. Booked a room for four people, room stayed set up for double occupancy through our entire stay, despite the reservations for four and alerting the front desk *several* times. I guess that extra $25 per person was for the privilege of getting to share glasses and towels? Cleanliness? On the surface, yes. But our bathroom trash had band aids in it on our arrival, the mattress had stains revealed by the poorly fitting sheets and mattress pad, and one of our two glasses was badly smudged as if it had already been used. Two days after checking out, I noticed unauthorized charges on my credit card. Apparently Hyatt Vineyard Creek allows people to charge room service to rooms that they are not staying in! How quaint. Update! When I requested the refund, they credited someone else! I pointed the error out to them, I imagine they never had the attention to detail to notice four digits. To leave on a positive note: We didn't get bed bugs or food poisoning. So that's a plus!

Very surprised at the other reviews. We spent three nights here and had a great time. The staff were really helpful and seemed more than happy to do so. The food in The Brasserie is really good as well.
