Come get your Q on! The 10th Annual QFest St. Louis, presented by Cinema St. Louis, runs March 29-April 2, 2017, at the .ZACK Theatre.The St. Louis-based LGBTQ film festival, QFest will present an eclectic slate of 19 films — 11 features (eight narratives and three documentaries) and eight short subjects. The participating filmmakers represent a wide variety of voices in contemporary queer world cinema. The mission of the film festival is to use the art of contemporary gay cinema to spotlight the lives of LGBTQ people and to celebrate queer culture.

Metro East Pride of Southwestern Illinois (MEPSI), organizers of the annual Metro East PrideFest, announced on Feb. 11 that out country music artist and The Voice semi-finalist Kristen Merlin will headline its 10th anniversary pride celebration in downtown Belleville on Saturday, June 10 at 6 p.m.

Much of what’s going on in the country right now stinks, but Something Rotten isn’t one of them. The original musical that opened Tuesday at the Fox is an evening of mirth and mayhem, and so desperately needed at this moment that it seems almost unpatriotic to miss it.
