Do you know anyone who knows Chinese?  I need about 13K worth of text translated for CGIProxy, my anti-censorship software.  I can pay a reasonable translation fee.

For that matter, do you know anyone who can do the same for French, Spanish, or Vietnamese?

Thanks for any leads!

Woohoo! Finished and released another version of CGIProxy (my anti-censorship software). The user interface is now in five languages, and facepalm works fully through it, which was the hard part.
CGIProxy 2.1.7. HTTP/FTP Proxy in a CGI Script. Home > Web Tools > CGIProxy. Donate. CGIProxy Home | News | Installation | Usage | Options | Limits | Disclaimer | Latest Download | FAQ | Changes | Translating | Online Demo (login "free/speech"). Note: Please install CGIProxy on a secure server, ...

Surprise, surprise. Not. The GOP only believes in democracy when it goes their way. When it doesn't, they have no problem with undermining it.

If you're in California: Please tell your legislator to support the DISCLOSE Act, which would force political campaigns to reveal their donors in ads. The bill needs just one more vote to pass, and several legislators are on the fence. Here's a petition too. I sign a lot of petitions, but don't tend to post about them. However, I believe the fight to restore our democracy is THE most important issue of our time. Thank you.
I just signed a petition to The California State House: California state legislators: Pass the California DISCLOSE Act now.

An excellent commentary by a lifelong, and very influential, conservative. If you're right-leaning: this is how the left sees the right these days.

I've been saying this from the beginning, based on my own direct experience-- the IRS "targeted" groups from the left as well as the right, including those with the terms ''Progressive", "Occupy", or "Israel" in their name.  This whole "scandal" has been largely an invention of Darrell Issa and co., who have been proven to be cherry-picking their transcripts and making false insinuations.

But somehow, I doubt we'll hear much media correction about this.
WASHINGTON (AP) — The Internal Revenue Service's screening of groups seeking tax-exempt status was broader and lasted longer than has been previously disclosed, the new head of the agency said Monday.

Yes, the right to vote is a "racial entitlement". What will Those People ask for next?

OK. So. Where did the shooter get his guns? From his mother.

Why did his mother have the guns, and train her kid how to use them? For "safety", according to her friends.

Who still thinks having guns in the house, especially around kids, makes us safer?

Just a reminder-- don't put anything in email that you wouldn't want splashed across a newpaper headline.  All they need is a subpoena to get it, not even a warrant, meaning that any prosecutor can read your email.  This is true even of email under "anonymous" or pseudonymous accounts.  Yes, the law should be changed.

Here's one I strongly support-- transparency in campaign contributions-- especially in the wake of Citizens United. A House subcommittee just voted to strip FCC of its power to demand such transparency. Please tell Congress how you feel about this, via this petition or another way.
A House Committee just voted to keep you in the dark this election season. Demand your right to know who’s behind those nasty political ads. Demand media transparency.
