For the dedicated home theatre owner, sometimes, only GOO’s Premium +20 will do. When building his brand new home theatre room, this owner pulled out the stops and paired the HIGH CONTRAST +20 GOO wall with SONY’s latest 2018 4K projector; to ensure great black levels are maintained whilst enjoying optimal gain.

GOO’s +20 coatings contain new pigments that provide useful improvement in light return with relatively few artifacts, that are commonly seen in screens with pearlescence and high gloss features.

He enjoys most of his movies in darkness but with +20, he has the flexibility of adjusting room lighting with the assurance that black levels are maintained for a consistently dynamic and rich cinematic experience.

SCREEN GOO makes a significant entry into a place of worship: St Andrew’s Cathedral (http://cathedral.org.sg/), the 180 year old home of the Anglican Church in Singapore.

The two screens, each on either side of the altar, are located within the Chapel For All Peoples. Each surface, treated with GOO Basic White measure about 16 sq m.

Completed in time for Christmas, the GOO wall, paired with EIKI LC-X800A projectors was hard at work for all of the season’s services as worshippers were treated to professionally produced animation of the Nativity Story, with modern elements. The colours are effortlessly reproduced, adding to the magic and wonder of this timeless event and worship experience.

VIRGIN ACTIVE (https://www.virginactive.com.sg), a premium gym located in Singapore’s central business district, uses SCREEN GOO’s Premium category coating in their Cycle Studio, or more popularly known as ‘spinning’ in gymming circles.

Taking into consideration the 20% - 30% higher reflectivity than the Classic range of coatings, D.V.I. Solutions (http://www.dviav.com/) paired the HIGH CONTRAST +20 Premium coating with PANASONIC RZ660 projectors (6200 lums) for this project.

Facility Link (http://www.facilitylink.com.sg/) did a superb job at applying our Premium coating onto a curved 33 sq m curved surface. The result? Cyclists are taken on an exciting, sensory and immersive journey to greater fitness.

The stunning content, brought true to life by GOO, has them peddling their way through digitally inspired cityscapes and country roads. No escaping from technology - and GOO is right there, making it real. What a way to get fit!

TITLE: BEFORE & AFTER SCREEN GOO at SUNSURIA CITY Show Gallery KUALA LUMPUR

BEFORE

When Amazing Spectrum Sdn Bhd (http://amazed.com.my/), a Malaysia-based Digital Interactive SI, test run their dramatic video on white-washed walls at the Sun SuriaCity KL Show Gallery (http://www.sunsuria.com/), little did they expect the extent to which excess light would compromise video quality. The content was vibrant and rich in colour; with a roving spot light as part of the content. The three projection surfaces, each measuring 5.5m x 3m, stood right-angled to each other. Light from 4 no.s of PANASONIC PT-EW650 6000 lumen projectors was bouncing off each of the three walls, and floor; and back onto the opposite wall; causing severe wash out. The test run left even the industry veteran’s confidence in his own system design, shaken. That’s when they took a leap of faith in SCREEN GOO, never having used it before. A “low gain high contrast” result was needed to bring back the smile to the customer’s face.

AFTER

“Low gain high contrast” was exactly the job for MAX CONTRAST, which was quickly purchased over the Easter weekend. Concurrently, as part of improving the outcome, the SI made some changes to the content. With D-Day barely a week away, the second round of testing took place while GOO was still drying. A picture is worth a thousand words. This project stands as a stunning example of the ‘BEFORE' and ‘AFTER’ use of SCREEN GOO. This ‘AFTER’ video was shot using the same mobile device by the same individual. In it, the difference in the contrast and solidity of colours is most stark, as compared to the ‘BEFORE’ video. The access light that caused disquiet before, has been absorbed and harnessed appropriately. The result: a much more colour accurate reproduction of the content that only contributed to the “wow" factor that it so richly deserves.

An ultra-short throw (UST) interactive projector is paired with a GOO-treated surface. Using the projector’s digitized marker, the user annotates directly on the matte GOO-treated surface. Minimal shadow. No hot spot. The wall is transformed into a two-in-one low-maintenance Screen GOO treated projection surface; which not only displays sharp, crisp texts with exceptional colour fidelity, it is ALSO a writing surface.

Spraying on SCREEN GOO requires patience, engagement and skill (in this order). As for the hardware, a HVLP (high volume, low pressure) system, 40 – 45 psi is recommended; as GOO is water-based. The application contractor is relaxed and keeps his wrist soft and movements light and fluid.
