A friend in Ohio pointed me to what looks like an abandoned bit of land art near Columbiana, Ohio (or a bored farmer having fun with a backhoe, or alien landscapers…). The site is visible on google earth (40 deg 52 mins 11secN , 80 deg 37 mins 56 sec W) or near the intersection of Metz Rd and Bull Creek Rd. Or search 2000 Bull Creek Rd, Columbiana,OH in Google maps and you will get close to it — the mound work is on the north side of the railroad tracks, just north of a high tension line.
But Bing has better images than Google Earth — on google earth it almost looks like a random set of dirt piles, but on Bing, it is clearly a carefully arranged array of right-angle piles and a starburst-like geoglyph. Screen grab below.
So, wise G+ friends -- anyone have a clue about it? maybe this is where forest Fenn has buried his $2million treasure puzzle!
