The rhododendrons are now in flower. A reminder that Scorrier House gardens will be open on Sunday 24th April as part of the National Garden Scheme.

We will be opening the gardens at Scorrier House this year on Sunday 24th April for The National Garden Scheme. Scorrier House Gardens are not normally open to the public, so worth making a note of the date. More details on our blog:

We always make an effort to stock local produce in our accommodation. The Stable House comes with soap from Cornwall Soapbox, water from Cornish Spring Water and milk from Roddas, which, coming from the village of Scorrier couldn't be any more local.

Great to see Scorrier House featured yesterday evening on BBC4's ‪#‎RailwayWalks‬ with ‪#‎JuliaBradbury‬. The documentary followed the course of the Portreath Mineral Tramroad, built by the Williams's 200 years ago. But it also featured some superb aerial shots of the House and grounds as well as interesting snippets of history.
