Vibrant cantina serving modern Mexican cuisine, made-to-order guacamole & tequila cocktails.- Google

Great Mexican restaurant, the food was mediocre, but their cocktails was so good, packs a punch if you have more than 2. The staffs were nice and Friendly. I do recommend getting their made to order guacamole. I got the bacon guacamole that was the best part of my whole dinner there. Overall its ok, price are decent.

Very underwhelming experience tonight. Slow service, had to ask twice to get a server. Mixed ceviche was one small bite of tuna and some undefined mix (seafood?), chicken tacos dry and tasteless. The atmosphere in the downstairs is no very pleasant. Prices not in line with what's being offered. Many better options in NY.

This place has disappointed me two times in a row - two mediocre overpriced meals with poor service. Their margheritas are solid, but the service is weak the the food is underwhelming and overpriced. I had the short ribs mole, which should be tough to mess up. Just cook them until the fat melts and they are tender, then add the mole. They claim to roast them overnight - but super globby fatty portion suggested that was highly unlikely (fat mostly melts away when you really cook for a long time) and it wasn't fork tender. And the service acts like they are doing you some sort of favor to serve you. Do yourself a favor, go to one of the many other excellent Mexican restaurants in NYC or to a cheap chain and save yourself from the overpriced mediocrity with attitude.

Dear Dennis McDonald, We apologize for the poor dining experience you describe as having with us at our Dos Caminos Third restaurant. Do you still have your receipt? If so, could you tell me the check number listed as well as the exact date and time you dined with us? If you do not have it, could you tell me all of the items ordered as well as the number of members in your party and name placed for your reservation? All of this information will help us to investigate the issues you have brought to our attention. Please send this information to me at Again, we are truly sorry and hope we may have a chance to reestablish our dining relationship with you. The margaritas are not bad, but that's about it. We never got the guacamole we ordered, and they brought out the wrong entree for one of the members of our party. It took forever to get the check. The server tried to make up for it with free dessert, but there are too many good restaurants in this city to waste it on this place. The Dos Caminos in the meat packing district is much better, so if you absolutely must have overpriced, average chain "Latin American" (not truly Mexican, as it's more a Latin American fusion restaurant...) I recommend going to that location.

If I want Mexican food in NYC this is the place. Personally, I prefer the bar or the outdoor seating at Dos Caminos. The margarita are great and quietly pack a kick. So be careful. The guacamole is straight out of Mexico City. You will be hard pressed to find better guacamole in the city. The wait staff is both knowledge and helpful. Sunday brunch is fabulous. I highly recommend Dos Caminos.

Came here for brunch and for the bottomless drink special because some of the ladies in our group were in the mood for drinks. We learned after being seated that in order to get bottomless drinks EVERYONE in your party has to buy it.. which.. is.. ridiculous. The hostess even told us that they do this because we might share drinks. Well we are all 30 something year old women and in a group of 6 only half of us even planned on drinking so we found this to be a bit insulting and obnoxious.. especially considering the restaurant was nearly empty and HAD we been sharing drinks it would have been pretty obvious to the server. With that being said the food was delicious but a tad overpriced for the portions you receive. The drinks are expensive but amazing. Service was SLOW especially with our drinks.. which was shocking again considering how empty the dining room was. They also never returned our debit cards to us after we paid so we ended up leaving them behind in the restaurant and having to cancel them. I will not be returning to Dos Caminos unfortunately. There are way too many places to get brunch in Manhattan for a fraction of the price. The three stars are for the atmosphere and the taste of the food/drinks.

The food isn't bad, but the service was extremely slow. We never got the guacamole we ordered, and one of the entrees was wrong. The server did try to make amends with a free drink and dessert, and it very well may not have been his fault. The Dos Caminos in the meatpacking district is much better, though.

Dos Caminos hasn't shared anything with you.

People are more likely to share with you if you add them to your circles.
