I started gymnastics when I was 8. I'm not sure who or what inspired me to, I just thought it was cool. My mother wasn't in on the gymnastics mom thing, so I tried out for the Level 3 team without realizing. I made it by doing a cartwheel, handstand, roundoff, and a forward roll. After I had made it they explained what was going to happen, my mother and I decided it would be fun for me to experience something different than Travel Softball. At the time I was also on a Elite Travel softball team who traveled out of state. Eventually I made it to the Level 4 Team, then on to the Level 5 team at 10. Once I had made it onto the team, they wanted to increase my time at the gym to 4 days ( monday- 5-7 pm, Tuesday- 5-7pm, Saturday- 1-5pm, Sunday- 1-5pm) They thought I could possibly move up to level 6 travel team soon and wanted to make sure I had more hours to train. I was still on the Elite Travel Softball team and me and my mom knew that it wouldnt work. So i had to quit, I guess in the end it really did work out because, once I quit gymnastics it gave me more time to focus on softball. I still play softball on the Same Elite Travel team, and with the extra hours i got after quitting, I had tons of time to improve my softball skills. Sometimes I wish I didnt quit Gymnastics but then I realize that I have loved softball ever since i was 4 1/2.
