The south of Dublin city extends to the foot of the Dublin mountains, and less then twenty minutes after the drive away from those outskirts, you have climbed into the Featherbeds.
A vast area of peatland which is now a national park, I used to come up here as a kid with neighbours to help them stack the turf* they had cut so it would dry in the sun and mountain winds. I still get tingles when I smell a turf fire. #irelandphotography
