Nothing we had was out of this world, but everything was pretty good. My husband had the oysters and loved them - also they were only $14 for a dozen! The key lime pie was a nice light finish. Happy hour had good prices. The burn-it bowl was good but not great. The corn bread muffins had zero flavor. I would try a few other things but definitely going back.

I was very excited whenever Lucy's opened just around the corner from my home. I am not a very big fan of fried chicken but I figured I'd try it. I was definitely rewarded for trying it but not in the way you think. The chicken was ok, as I said, I'm not a big fried chicken but what blew me away was the steamed oysters I tried. Overall the experience was good but sad to say they did not convert me to a friend chicken devotee. Gus's fried chicken did that, go figure!

If you really want to give your visiting friends/family a true look at southern cuisine, look no further than Lucy's Fried Chicken. Their eponymous fried chicken is battered, seasoned, and fried to perfect golden delicious glory. If that isn't enough fried food for you, get the Deep Fried Deviled Eggs. The eggs are buttermilk-breaded and deep fried and served with a delicious aioli that contains fried chicken skin. Even if the chicken was enough for you, you should still get the Deviled Eggs because they're so freaking delicious. If you still want more, consider a side order of Creole Okra. I've always had a soft spot for okra and the seasoning on this dish is top-notch. Just the right amount of spicy. Be sure to get some sweet tea.

Whenever I want some good fried chicken, I go to Lucy's. I love the fried deviled eggs. You get plenty of chicken. Great flavor. Save room for some Sweet Tea Pie.

I have to admit, this place has some good fried chicken, it's crisp, juicy and so full of flavor. But!!! The real winner here is the side menu: THE DEEP FRIED DEVILED EGGS! Yes. All in caps because I want to yell on the top of my lungs about how its sooo good! It's totally worth going here just for the eggs.(Not really- try the chicken bucket you will not regret!) Although the service was kinda slow and was just okay I would say. But the food is definitely worth it!

Before Gus's fried chicken opened in Austin, I thought Lucy's was the best fried chicken you could get in Austin. The pieces were large and juicy and the skin wasn't overly greasy. They also have a great place to just hang out with friends and have a drink. I mean what other place can you think of that offers great drink specials, great fried chicken, and oysters? Of the two locations, I love the south location as it has a great backyard vibe. It just feels like you're at home eating some home cooked chicken.

Watermelon Rita's were alright. Not a $$ deal though. Chicken was tasty but what annoyed me was no biscuits. They up charge you on the cornbread too. Guess it was not a match. I did see Jack Black and his band hanging out though.

Gluttony at its fried, flaky best. This ain't health food, but if you need something greasy and tasty, this is it. I've never had deep fried deviled eggs. They were *almost* too much. Almost. Also, they have a decent selection of local beers to accompany your delicious fried goodness.
