Personally, I want Tony Abbott to stay in parliament, keep sniping and eventully challenge Turnbull.

It'll guarantee the Coalition loses at least the next 2 elections. Awesome!

Looking into my crystal ball...

What we know so far.

- Lachlan Murdoch sits on the board of Channel 10.
- Lachlan refuses to guarantee a loan that underwrites the business.
- The board sends Channel 10 into voluntary administration.

What happens next.

1. Lachlan and his surrogates argue that media companies can't make profits in the current landscape because the "2 out of 3 rule" prevents them responding to "market demands".

2. Parliament pushes through changes to the media ownership laws to water down "2 out of 3" so Aus media owners can bulk up.

3. Rupert Murdoch buys Channel 10 at a knock down price.

Just thinking... 😀

I've just completed a super-intense 24 hours in Singapore with my new NTT Security colleagues – aligning my first Project initiatives with the Global Program, meeting my Sponsor and kicking off requirement/scoping interviews.

In Managing Successful Programmes (MSP)-speak, we deep-dived into my Projects to understand how they impacted the Program's Governance themes:

◦Organization,
◦Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement
◦Benefits Realization Management
◦Planning and Control
◦Risk Management and Issue Resolution, and
◦Quality Management

With the Program already up-and-running, we also spent time understanding the impacts to the “Managing the Tranches” process flow within the Transformational Flow .

Foundations set, priorities agreed and impacts understood.

Time well spent.

I'm spending a quick couple of days in Singapore - new job, new client., meeting my new team and planning out our next few months' work.

This is a lovely, quirky city. I'm always happy to return!

I really like the way that these students have put their message out there.

Simple and effective.

JWH made some interesting comments last night regarding the Liberal party's leadership mess, declaring that there was "no appetite for change".

https://www.theguardian.com/australia-news/2017/may/22/john-howard-tony-abbott-malcolm-turnbull-liberal-party-robert-menzies

He reminded me of an article by Alan Ramsey written back in 2003 when Howard was at his hubristic best ("I'll consider my future when I turn 64." "I'll stay leader for as long as the party wants me." "I'm not going anywhere.")

"Nineteen years ago, after the 1984 election that re-elected the Hawke government for the first time, the then Opposition leader, Andrew Peacock, and his deputy, John Howard, called a joint press conference after the Liberal Party caucus re-endorsed their leadership unopposed. Howard was asked to rule out a future challenge of Peacock's leadership."

"And what did Howard say? "I think somebody who has the track record of loyalty that I've had for the cause of the Liberal Party is not really required to answer that question.""

"Delicious, isn't it? The Peacock-Howard poison would cripple the Coalition's electoral standing for the next decade. The Liberal leadership would play musical chairs five times. Peacock and Howard each held it twice, John Hewson and Alexander Downer once each. It was absolute political mayhem. And here we are, 19 years after that pious Howard answer, with another ambitious deputy mouthing Howard's own words from all that time ago."

I'm more convinced than ever that there will be a leadership challenge before the next election.

I'm not into Formula One.
But.. these photos are amazing.

I think that if Joe Average used this camera, the pictures would look crap. No doubt that this guy is a terrific photographer.

Let me get this straight.

Australian guy is at the US/Canada border as required for his 5 year US work visa.

Paperwork is delayed by 4 hours.

This means he violates his US visa requirements by...ONE HOUR.

As a result, he was handcuffed and has been in jail for 9 days.
