Ganh Dau is a spit of land jutting into the sea in the northwest of Phu Quoc island, the commune Ganh Dau, Phu Quoc district, Kien Giang province, a country road about 1.3 km history and kissed her addition to the United Cambodia about 2.5 km.

Like Vietnam itself, Phu Quoc Island has a varied history with numerous nations occupying the island over the past couple of centuries, including Vietnam, Cambodia, France and America. Phu Quoc Island forms part of Vietnam, and even though the island was an area of dispute between Vietnam and Cambodia as recently as the late 1980’s, Vietnam today is nurturing the island as the next big eco tourist destination.

On the east coast of Phu Quoc opposite Duong Dong is this tropical beauty, a beach with a dramatic mountain backdrop. Phu Quoc has been called the Land of the 99 Mountains on account of the highlands which cascade down the interior of the island like a knobbly spine; this is the mountain chain you can see from Ham Ninh Beach. Yes, this is one of the many places on Phu Quoc where the mountains meet the sea.

Travelling to Phu Quoc by boat, ferry, hydrofoil and Boat to Phu Quoccruise liner is becoming a popular option as the number of tourists visiting the island increases each year. With continued development of the port facilities on Phu Quoc, more services will become available in the years to come. Otherwise known as the “Coconut Tree Prison”…It was declared a historic site in 1999 and developed into a Memorial for the 4000 people that died here, captured prisoners or “Insurgents” and “soldiers” of the Revolution during the French Colonial era and the “American War”.
