Story
Introduction
Mike Spinelli left a career in technology market research in 2004 to launch New York-based automotive website Jalopnik for Gawker Media. He left Jalopnik in 2007 to sleep late and eat risotto, and returned in 2010 to serve as the site's senior editor.

Bragging rights
Spinelli was formerly editor-in-chief of 0-60 magazine and previously served as creative director of automotive programming at online video start-up, Next New Networks, where he helped guide the launch and production of Internet TV programs Fast Lane Daily and Garage 419. Spinelli has written on automotive topics for Popular Science, Wired, Maxim, Performance Car, Intersection and Outside magazines and The New York Times. Right now, he's probably geeking out on Can-Am racing, dekotora trucks and vintage Group B rally footage.
