Sundance Yoga Studio teaches vinyasa ("flow") style classes based on John Friend's Anusara Yoga. Anusara (a-nu-sar-a) yoga means to "align with grace"or "to step into the flow". It is a system that unifies proper alignment, for a safe opening of the body, with a celebration of the heart. With the highest intention being to align with the flow of grace, accepting the world and ourselves as we are, and then responding with love.

I highly recommend the prenatal classes. Anne is very welcoming as well as the other participants. The class is both challenging and relaxing. I felt like a million bucks afterwards.

This is really great to hear! I'm so glad Anne can be so friendly and informative in her prenatal classes! She is a wonderful teacher and a blessing to Sundance. Hope to see you again soon! Best, Valerie I., Owner

I have thoroughly enjoyed my experience at Sundance Yoga Studio. I really appreciate the kindness and caring of the yoga teachers. They truly care about you, want to get to know you, ask if there are things you want to work on, and make corrections in your positioning. I don't have much of a yoga background, so I can't speak on the technique. However, I have really enjoyed the classes. They have a good balance of meditation (but not too much), flow, and stretching. I always leave feeling relaxed and happy.

I took my first yoga class ever last night & absolutely loved it. The instructor was so positive, friendly & informative. The studio had a great vibe & atmosphere. And, the members were all very kind. I look forward to many more yoga classes to come!

Awesome place! We went specifically for Kids Yoga and Anne does a fabulous job with my son! I highly recommend her class if you have a child interested. I also go to the beginner class with Afton and she is great!

We love to work with yogis of all ages, so it's wonderful to hear that both you and your son have enjoyed your experiences with us, Lanette. It's been so great to share our work with you, and I look forward to seeing you back next time. -Valerie I., Owner

I've been taking yoga classes at Sundance for well over a year now, and I have absolutely loved every experience I've had there. The yoga instructors at this studio are the best, and really are lead a more traditional yoga class.... not like those at a typical gym class. There's more focus on the breathing and purpose of the class. They always ask the class at the beginning if anyone wants to work on any specific area, and they are very attentive if you have a specific issue. I'm now pregnant but I still like to attend the Mixed Level classes (in addition to their Prenatal class), and every instructor I've had is great at letting me know about the modifications I need to make to be safe. I personally prefer the Pearland location because it's a little newer and a nicer atmosphere, but I have wonderful experiences in Friendswood as well.

Very calming and relaxed yoga studio. The staff is very friendly and helpful in any way they can be. I enjoyed the yoga sessions I attended at Sundance. This was the first place I'd ever gone to for yoga sessions and I must say it was a wonderful experience. I hope to continue doing yoga.

my very first experience here was an inversion/arm balance workshop with shana meyerson. the space is really big and the owner has such a big heart. with the hours spent there the entire weekend, if i didn't live in houston, i would most definitely have a membership to this yoga studio. plus, the other yogi/nis are really sweet and loving.

Sundance Yoga provides amazing classes! I have only been to two so far - Gentle Yoga and Level 2 Yoga. The internet was unclear that gentle yoga was a very limited class and was only for people who have paid separately for the class. But Valerie let me attend anyway. I always say that the yoga could be terrible, but if the Shavasana is perfect then the class gets an A+ for me! Luckily the yoga is great as well. I purchased the Groupon for the month unlimited. When I presented it, I was made to feel dumb. It's like the staff didn't know what I was talking about. I wanted to leave immediately because I look for yoga studios that make me feel welcome and accepted. I cashed it in on January 12th and it says my month is finished on February 8th. I am kind of disappointed that it is cut 4 days early since I want to keep attending classes. There are a lot of pros and cons to this yoga studio, so keep your options open.
