If you already own a dog, you're in luck! According to several studies, owning a dog can help ward off diseases associated with stress and a sedentary lifestyle. In general, dog owners get more physical activity than non-dog owners, due to the daily walks. Dog owners also report a social effect when mingling with neighbors. Overall, dog owners are more likely to exercise, have a lower cholesterol profile, lower blood pressure and are less likely to feel physical effects of stress. #HeartMonth
