It took some thinking. I always believed I know myself so well. How about … I’m passionate about the things that interest me? Or perhaps, I’m pretty much analytical yet a dreamer, intense yet subtly, unconventional, passionate yet logical, a knowledge seeker and a perfectionist? Duh! Well, let me put it this way, writing has been a passion ever since I learned how to communicate an idea and that’s the only reason why I love blogging so much. It actually make you think, what not to write. Beside endeavouring to know the unknowable, I seek to touch the untouchable. Sometimes I seek to love the unlovable. Sometimes I believe I have succeeded in getting a grasp on these intangibles, until I realize it was merely an illusory victory.
Being in communication corp in military, I personally have developed required skill-sets to communicate over almost all mediums as exposed to us. And, I have worked quite long in telecommunication arena, fell deeply into a love hate relationship with the field. There was a time when I used to code couple of years back and … I still live for those moments when everything falls into place and just works beautifully and I know that I created it.
As an aspiring polymath, if I consider, almost everything is achievable. Sighs again, apologizes profusely. Now, you may wonder, “Why are you an aspiring one?”
I’m obviously much better in technical terms than writing pure fictions, but I strive to improve upon my writing skills in both fictions and technical manuals. I might know a lot of stuff about a lot of things, and I might be able to deliver many topics intelligently, but I’m a true “philomath”, as wiki describes “seeker of knowledge”.
As I said, I am a perfectionist [which is utterly bad] and a synesthete. I absolutely love music and movies, a retarded hippie at heart, I listen primarily to music made in the mid eighties to early nineties. Bluegrass and “country-western” thing makes my day!
I’m pretty much in debt to Internet industry which is why I want to spread this torch throughout my country, Bangladesh. The Internet penetration is less than 1% which makes me working hard towards an achievable goal. Developing Internet-Centric Policies are my only motivational factor to shape our connected future in Bangladesh.
Beside having a real name, I do have an Internet pseudo-name or handle, which is why every single search query with my handle will return all my posts/blogs/Internet presence elsewhere. To be specific, those are all mine! Googling with “Raqueeb Hassan” will do the rest.
Unfortunately, I’m a Scorpio, down to the marrow.
