Select from A, B, C by priority. Maybe a useful pattern. Or is this an ugly anti-pattern and you have a better way? #golang

GPS Tracker WAT? I tracked my bike ride to work this morning using both the Fitbit app (paired with Versa watch) and Google Fit app running at the same time on my phone. Fitbit says it was 2.76 miles, Google Fit says 3.92 miles! Tracing the route on desktop Google Maps measurement tool says 3.55 miles. The trace definitely smooths out some things into straight lines a little shorter than I'd actually go. Maybe the GPS track has some noise that adds up to extra distance? I'm pretty sure Fitbit is under-reporting.

Capturing video on Raspberry Pi, at non-standard framerate and while actually recording the frame timestamps, which it doesn't do by default.

Large integers are practically continuous, approximating them with small integers can be messy.

Another year, more wind power. Little by little there's progress, I just wish it was faster more of a public priority.

Weird tech idea for #raspberrypi
Log daemon. Replace all the log files on the sdcard with named pipes. Log daemon reads from these and keeps the last 10-100 lines of each log file and the last 1-2MB overall across all logs. This is all kept in RAM and eliminates a bunch of thrashing wear and tear on the sdcard. Log daemon also maintains an HTTP port where you can GET each log file.
