Professional Career Development for Music Creators

The Australian Songwriters Conference (ASC) is proud to announce the first of its monthly songwriter meetings starting in January.

The ASC Sydney Circle, is the first in a national roll-out of monthly meetings for music creators. The Circle meetings will include industry and songwriting speakers, song critiquing, networking, writing challenges and other topics of interest. Songwriters of all experience levels and genres are welcome.

Founder and CEO of the Australian Songwriters Conference, Lisa Butler, says,
"Since 2008, the ASC has been all about assisting songwriters with career and skills development, so the expansion of our activities to include regular support and assistance between the biennial conferences, is a dream come true for me. With more ASC Circles starting up around the country in 2019, the intention is to eventually have one in every capital city and major regional centre."

The ASC Sydney Circle will be held on the third Monday of each month and will be coordinated by songwriter and Spoken Word/Hip Hop artist, Elizabeth Usher, a long-time attendee and supporter of the Australian Songwriters Conference.

The first meeting of the ASC Sydney Circle will be held on 21 January at 7.30pm at the Cricketers Arms Hotel, 255 Darling Street, Balmain. ASC Members can attend the Circle for free and non-members can attend their first two Circle meetings for free, after which, a $15 entry fee is payable at the door.
