"It is, but people have to be willing to help," shares President Jeff Lilley. Though people in Seattle tend to give money to homeless people directly, it might often be better to support a local organization that, in turn, will provide services and immediate needs.
"We should swing for the fences," Lilley said. "As long as there's one more person out on the streets suffering, we should try."
"Being #homeless and living in a tent is quite a humbling experience. We don't have heaters and try to have fires when we can. If it's raining, then the wood gets wet or it puts out the fire," says Cheena.

“Through my addiction, my family started contacting me, ‘Aaron, we miss you. We love you.’ I was living in my car. It was a dark place in my life. I first came to the Mission because of my brother,” remembers Aaron.
So proud of Aaron’s determination to battle his addiction and finish our recovery program! “Graduation means I accomplished something. The Mission has opened my eyes to so much beauty,” he says.
