So $work is offering a chance to wear jeans next week at $2/day, the money going to #RaceForTheCure. While definitely a good cause, I can't participate for three reasons:

1) This indicates exactly how important it is for use to not wear jeans: not at all. Hell, about a third of the technology department wears jeans all the time.

2) It feels like we're being bribed to give to charity.

3) AFAIK, I've lost infinitely more family to Nazism than to breast cancer. So where's my #RaceToEndRacism?

Fabric acquired. 13 yards of nice twill linen at $9.50/yard. Double plus good.

Weird. And yes on prices… if you buy retail :-) That's why we made a point of going to the Garment District. Seems the place we went used to supply G Street Fabrics.

In Manhattan for the weekend. Mostly to hit the Garment District for fabric for Pennsic. Looks like there's a store that only sells linen. This makes me happy.

Amazingly enough, when it's over a hundred, a strong breeze (Beaufort scale) really doesn't do much to cool one down.

Pathetic selection. But, more importantly, it's set up in such a manner as to block access to the buses and parking garage, interfering with commuters. Silly me, thinking Wiehle Metro Station is a Metro station.
