I had a Groupon for a pig feast for 2. After reading other reviews about the place I was little nervous because the reviews were very mixed. Found the place and it was completely empty. Noticed there was sigh that said the restaurant was a buffet. So my wife and I went up with the groupon and said we want to get the pig feast for two. We were told that you had to have a reservation. I couldn't believe what I was being told. The lady was quit rude. We drove all the way there and couldn't use the groupon. I looked and in the smallest of print there was a line that said you needed a reservation. It should be more clearly marked. I won't go back there ever over how rude the people were. There was not one person in the place and they could come up with enough food to feed to people supposedly.

Specifically asked the waitress/manager if the appetizers were frozen or made to order, was told they make everything to order, so I ordered them only to be given some at best winco brand previously frozen shrimp & jalapeno poppers that had so much batter and goo they should have been embarrassed to serve them. After biting one shrimp and opening the popper I called the manager over and asked how come she didn't just say they were frozen, she then proceeded to tell me she said they were frozen, but all the entrees are made to order, instead of offering a solution, she walked away. I asked for the manager only to find out she was the manager so I asked for the check with my card in my hand ready to pay. She put the check on the table and again walked away. Since there was only one other couple there it wasn't as if she had anything else to do, instead of her doing her due diligence as the alleged manager, she sent the cook out to apologize for the misunderstanding and take the payment. I'm assuming she's family and this is her first restaurant gig. I should've known by the lack of customers that this was a NO GO!!!!

For their lunch special, you can have BBQ pork or chicken sandwich for $4.75 (sliced beef brisket for $5). These sandwiches come with a HALF POUND of meat on a toasted, hoagie style roll. I had the pulled pork with spicy sauce (served on the side). I'm a Georgia boy, and I know BBQ. I would rate it as OK - not great, but a long way from bad. The flavor could be bolder. I believe it was smoked with hickory - maybe add a couple extra chunks of mesquite. I couldn't quite bring myself to rate the food as "Very Good," but I wish they had an "Above Average" button. But there's no better value in town - $4.75 for a sandwich piled with meat that would be $8 anywhere else. It might not be the best flavor, but it is the best value!!! The decor is typical for a sports bar. The tables appear to be new, so it may have been remodeled recently. I would not hesitate to take my wife there (whereas I would not take her to a shabby place). There's a pool table in the center of one area. I went at 11:30 on a Monday. There was only one other customer. The service was great - but with only one other customer, what else would I expect? This just became my #1 BBQ place for lunch (I work nearby). The value is just too good to pass up.

Attentive but inexperienced server, probably just new. The food was excellent! The owner stopped by our table and is very personable. I definitely look forward to going again. Selling BBQ to go by the pound is pretty cool, too. The inside is in need of help but they are in the process of decorating with Blazers merchandise and memorabilia.

In a town full of fine & innovating BBQ places, this place rates a big ho hum. Not terrible & far from great. If you lower your wants & expectations, it will hit the mark.

Tip sandwich had bones. Beans were average at best. Coleslaw was good. There was some good flavors coming through.
