Spelling matters.

Ooops.
THE Large Hadron Collider is located underneath Cern, Switzerland but when the BBC reported it's earlier restart, it was right out a Carry On film.

Posting these because of the great old Cadillac engine. The camp car is very cool too. Photos taken a few years ago at an impromptu car show somewhere on Hood Canal Washington

I seem to have a love/hate relationship with the camera on my phone. So many pictures turn out with Instamatic-like quality. Occasionally, I get a winner and this is one. Despite the weekend being a washout with all the rain, spring is popping out on my street.

Here is an entry for rusty Sunday
#rustysunday  +RustySunday
Picture taken at Alki Point in Seattle. No doubt the salt water from Puget Sound contributed to the rust.

The Christmas feast.  Not sure of the birds.  I'm told the blue one is a scrub jay.

Everything is Rhythm

In West Africa the Malinke tribe uses the word "Foli" to describe rhythm.  They find foli not only in Malinke music, but in all parts of their daily lives.       #InternationalDanceDay

Story
Introduction
I am a lifelong technology geek.  My life has seen the transition from vacuum tubes to transistors and then on to the integrated circuit.  As a kid I always had my head buried in an old radio cabinet or TV.  I remember when I got my first transistor radio.  I knew change was coming, just didn't realize how far reaching it would be.

My experiences as a child shaped a lifelong career associated with technology.  Jumping forward several decades I now live in the greater Seattle area and work in IT with a focus on data/process analysis and continuous improvement/operational excellence.

Whenever possible I like to escape the city and get into the woods.  This is an easy thing to do in the Pacific Northwest.

I should also add that I have just started up with the guitar again.  As if I didn't have enough challenges in life.
