Introduction

David Badash is the founder and editor of The New Civil Rights Movement, a journal of news and opinion on gay rights and marriage equality, and is a well-​read and well-​respected voice on politics and civil rights.

Badash is often quoted in national and international publications, such as Politico and The Washington Post. His work has also regularly appeared at Change​.org and in Bilerico, and he is syndicated at 365Gay​.com. Badash is the creator of The Great Nationwide Kiss-​In, a fifty-​city, international gay rights response to the unlawful harassment, detention, and arrest of same-​sex couples for kissing in public. He has been a guest on WorldCompass and The Michelangelo Signorile Show.
