Fandango is rooted in Convivencia. And Convivencia means being together....And not in the idealistic way. Everything works, because there is also some chaos.... It's learning how to make things happen when things are not that synchronized." Love that!  Very inspiring. I need more Convivencia in my life! Bomba, Call and Response, all of it! Expression!

Thanks, +Scott Macklin

"It’s time for a new protest generation, one that focuses on solutions more than problems." Does this resonate with you? Gimme a shout if you want to connect, take action and help shift the public dialogue towards Peace. Thanks to fellow artist, +Burt Kempner , for the rally call! #SeattlePeaceAlliance #YouthPROMISEAct #Peace #PeaceAlliance #AcrosstheBridge

Laughing is good for the soul. Gets the emotions out rather than letting them build up inside and generate resentment and anger. What do you think?
I'm definitely going to share with my Film/TV Friends. I haven't laughed this hard for 3 straight minutes, in a while. You're right, Burt, we've all heard this story before, but not in the same way! I needed that! So funny.

"I'm a craftsman. I like to produce....She could have retired long ago but continues to work, driven by the desire to “teach every trick of the trade” to anyone who is interested...

“I don’t believe in secrets,” she said. “What goes around comes around.”"

Years ago, I had stumbled, literally, into Barbara Shaum's leather shop. I was on my way to a Cosmo Girl/ Usnaps event, when my leather shoe strap failed and needed a new hole.
Being there brought me back to the early 70s when I'd go to work with my dad and explore the Diamond District. All these little booths with craftspeople and tools and dust and smelling like cigarettes.
Barbara was obviously in the middle of multiple projects, but stopped to help me out. It was a simple job for her, but I still appreciated how she took the time to help me out.
So cool to find this great article about Barbara and learn a little more about her. Help people out, teach them everything you know, if they're interested and call everyone "darling"...Love her style!
