Wow I need some new vans like this outfit,  maybe I don't charge enough  ?  I don't care for all those electronics or micro inverters up on the rooftops under the panels for real in our Texas heat,  when you don't have any shade, it seems silly to spend the extra money. I don't  believe some installers realize the issues I think on service in the future also, this site does seem to have 3 faces so would be fun installing maybe 2 string inverters. yes you may get a little more production and yes you see the data on each panel, so I guess. seems to me simple integrated panel optimizers are coming.

We still install micro inverters of course also, just when you have open sun I prefer string inverters just my logic. Maybe if they could build very very simple optimizers and add a simple way to see what each optimizer is doing?? We use also this solar edge stuff, but that also seems to have complex electronics I think will fail in the heat. Warranties really good so mfgrs must believe in them, only reason we install them. To enphase credit I haven't seen any fails in the last 3 years but we don't install many of them. Letting all these kids try them out!

Went down to pay my toll at Texas toll mafia it's interesting how a nice worker responded when I said people are upset with these toll roads, not just the fees she responded everybody is upset with the toll roads. Many people in line complained people asking to speak to managers. Someone needs to put on you tube

Of course I know the tolls are a private company 4 now, I see major issues with private have this power upon us all, sending me to collection on $6 dollars is just all out bullshit when they auto bill me, they have big issues it seems, far worse than Obama care I bet

Interesting,  cheap ways to make power, man you had to spend some time building a battery drill control valve. for this setup

cool inverter. we install tons of these!  CRsolar    I add a breaker to protect the circuit for the emergency power plug,  I see many installers don't do this or don't even wire up a the emergency plug,  curious what electrical inspectors think? (do we need fuse protection on this output or not as the unit has built in circuit protection via I believe a computer) maybe something to add to the NEC code under solar section???

Hi Chris - The SPS outlet is protected by overcurrent protection inside the inverter. If the load exceeds 12A then it automatically shuts off power to the outlet and will automatically try to reconnect 20 seconds later. We haven't heard of any issues with installers wanting to see breakers on these outlets providing you can show them the manual to verify the overcurrent feature. If you've heard differently, I'd love to hear about it: socialmedia@sma-america.com.
