Setting up the little scope to watch the planets
#backyardastronomy

If you have a telescope in the closet this is a good time to blow the dust off and set it up. You don't need a really expensive setup to view planets and there are lots in the night sky right now.

For a couple of hours after sunset you'll be able to see Jupiter and Venus right next to each other. Just look up from where the sun just set and they're the brightest lights you'll see. Later in the night you'll get a good view of Mars. Just keep moving east and a little south. it's the most orange light you'll see. Later into the morning hours Saturn will rise into the sky in the East Southeast. Grab the Google Sky app if you need help finding them.

Have lots of fun. I'd love to get my telescope out tonight, but I've got and early morning. :-(
