My friend +Henry Shotwell captured the great shot of M51. I grabbed the image he posted and used Lightroom to bring out more detail.

This is an article I wrote refuting the idea that the concept of infinity also works in nature. Also, why I don't believe that parallel universes and infinite space or time exists. Please share your thoughts.
Infinity. The word itself invokes a mind-numbing a sense of awe. The concept fills even the most ardent scientist’s imagination with images of parallel universes and time travel. Unfortunately, using a concept that is beyond ...

Believe that science cannot function without a closed loop universe. Time is not a Swiss watch, it's the motion & distance of the sun, planets & stars. What you are talking about is the 4th dimension, which does exist. Infinity if a mathematical reality, should exist, but who cares, we will never get there!
Cheers!

This gets pretty deep, but it's been on my mind for a while and it needed to be written down. Please pass it around so I can get some feedback.

This is my first time lapse experiment from the dark skies above my brother's beach house. Not enough frames to make it smooth but it was a learning experience. Skies were beautiful when the clouds would break. I was able to get some viewing time in with my latest scope.

My friend +Henry Shotwell posted the image he captured of M51 to the left. I used Lightroom to pull out some detail as shown on the right. It's amazing how much faint detail is available for enhancement, even in a modified JPEG file.

+Wade Jenkins True, this one has lots of artifacts too. I was surprised it enhanced this well. RAW works much better in Lightroom.

+Scott Jordan Noticed the Tarheel T-shirt in your profile photo. I was there 1960-64 and graduated with a degree in poly sci.

Infinity is when the mind can't count, measure , think , perceive, discuss, etc.., any more

I finally get around to writing an article on infinity that I've had bouncing around my head for a while. I feel it's very important and hope you'll take the time to read it. Please share and give me your feedback.

Took in a running mower with a dirty carburetor. The shop owner kept promising to "look at it this afternoon then call me with an estimate" for a month and a half while it sat out in the rain then charged us to rebuild the motor because of water damage. He never called once. The repair costs were more than the mower was worth so we lost our mower.
