Stopped in to ask about service on my Yamaha Grizzly, the service rep quoted 2 hours shop time. Dropped it off the following week, but the rep now reported 3.5 hours shop time. When I asked him about the discrepancy, he apologized, said he had been incorrect earlier, but would stand by the original quote (which they did). Mistakes happen, but when the shop takes ownership of the problem, you know you're at the right place.
