Yesterday, I took my boys and my nephew to the Louisville Arcade Expo. We had a great time checking out the arcade/video games from my childhood/teenage years. I was a little bummed I didn't get to play Oregon Trail but Ethan did. I also got to play some games with old friends. It was a nice walk down memory lane. I sure wish Babbage's was still open so I could buy a new video game.

+Mary Lane and I just returned from a long weekend in Pigeon Forge, TN. In our 10+ years of being parents, we've learned that we have to get away from the kids every once-in-a-while to recharge or we'll go crazy. We enjoyed our mini-vacation. Is next month too soon to plan our next getaway?

Last weekend, my son and I made the trek up to northern Ohio to visit the Pro Football Hall of Fame. We had a great trip, except the fact that it was ridiculously cold and the driving conditions sucked. I did get to hang out with Warren Moon (not really).

One of the interesting parts of being a parent is that kids lose their teeth and are promptly visited by the tooth fairy. My daughter has pulled two of her own teeth over the past couple of weeks. Last night, I had to use my ninja tooth-pulling skills with my 10-year-old. I filmed the expedition. It was pretty funny. You can call me the tooth whisperer.

It's a Sunday afternoon and I'm all alone. No wife. No kids. I can do whatever I want. What to do? What to do? The first logical thing was to write something for my blog.

I started my dad blog around this time last year. It's been a great experience and I've learned a lot. Today, I wrote about some of what I've learned and highlighted my 10 ten posts from 2014.
