Today I took my mother and two sisters and we had a blast! We enjoyed all the exhibits and animals! Two images that will live with me was that of Kelly and the baby chimpanzees. When we were watching the gorillas my attention went immediately to Kelly because for some reason I felt as if he was mad and sad. After reading his personality description I thought I was reading too much into it but I swear he was aware of his captivity and wanted to be somewhere else. As we continued our LA tour we came to the chimpanzees and obviously the babies had everyone's attention. Overall, it was a great experience for my family and me and we will definitely will go back. Thank you LA Zoo! Note: the last time I went to the LA Zoo I was and ESL student in 7th grade!

For the most part the zoo was good. I went a month or so ago and they had a week old baby Hippo! So cute. They also had koala bears, kangaroos, foxes, elephants and an incredible gorilla exhibit. However, the main reason I went to the zoo was to see the lions. They had a beautiful male lion and a lioness. But their exhibit was pathetic. I just felt so bad for them. The lions had a small, flat exhibit with no rocks and very little plants. It was mostly just dirt with a small concrete patch. The water was disgusting. The whole exhibit was surrounded with a rock mural, but not one rock in the exhibit for them to climb.

It was awesome! I loved the animals and it was great. I also got a caricature and it was great! It looked exactly like me and exactly how I wanted it. I might go back to get more!

I will always have an affinity for zoo's so don't expect the harsh critic in me to come out when reviewing the Los Angeles Zoo. I must say though, I had a great time when I went. Recently revamped from what I but am unable to compare as I never visited the old zoo. I have been to many zoo throughout the world and I must say it holds its own. Los Angeles is a major world city. How can it not have a great zoo. It still doesn't compare to San Diego zoo as that one is inherently the best zoo in the world but hey had a lot to offer. The enclosures were large and spacious for the bigger animals and the floor plan was laid out well. Enough to keep you guessing after a full day there but you can leave with confidence that you covered most the grounds and attractions. I hate paying $5 for a bottle of Dasani though.

I love the LA zoo! I always have a blast when I come. I would avoid this place during the summer as it tends to be overcrowded and it’s too hot for the animals (and most humans) anyways. The best time to go is either really early in the year or really late. They are constantly trading animals with other zoos to find mates for their animals which means babies are constantly being born. I want to go just to see all the new babies! Parking is “free” but you need either need to park really far or loop around the lot for awhile. They have valet parking for $7 too.

Not able to see the elephants which was not one of the animals listed as unavailable. The male gorillas were no where in sight. Maybe there could be signs of the type of animal in more than one place. But over all not bad for the cost of a ticket.

I cannot believe the LA Zoo would be this aweful!! the animals are ALL sleeping or bored out of their minds, the exhibits are basic cages, not a lot of variety of animals, and you cant even see a lot of the animals 90% of the time because they're hiding from the heat, or the animal died and they never replaced it. If you want an AMAZING zoo experience and u happen to be in Toronto, Canada: check out the Toronto zoo!!! if you consider the LA Zoo a zoo, Toronto zoo will blow ur mind.
