Whether you agree with his personal views or not, Jon Stewart makes a very valid point in this clip. Debate is essential, while spin and rhetoric are just a smoke screen and are hurting our country. I'm not sure that either of the hosts grasped what he was trying to convey. They were busy nervously laughing and interrupting him. Although the clip is from 2004, it is as relevant today as it was then.

May the odds be always in our favor.

On Friday, February 15th, asteroid DA14 is thankfully going to be a bit late, barely missing Earth by the distance we travel around the Sun in 15 minutes!

Google Maps recently visited Meteor Crater, an impact site created by a similar sized meteor that hit Earth approximately 50k years ago. Explore imagery of the Meteor Crater in Google Maps: http://goo.gl/wgKzF

Business stats is a somewhat dry course, but I have an excellent professor, Dr. Tokle. You can tell she enjoys teaching and wants her students to understand the subject.

There is not much better than seeing 3 diverse individuals come together and after just a few days perform so beautifully.

Wrestling was one of the original Olympics sports. Apparently the IOC considers table tennis, badminton and equestrian more deserving of the Olympics. Doesn't make much sense to me.

Have you ever played table tennis?  Ask Belnap how much you can sweat after a good game of ping pong.

Interesting idea. This information could be quite useful for most during the commute to and from work.

I have nothing but good things to say about The Gun Shop. I have purchased firearms and ammunition from them several times over the past year. Their prices have remained fair and relatively stable even when most of the other local shops have raised them substantially. In some instances I have been able to get identical ammunition from The Gun Shop for about half the price that some of the other shops have been charging. This isn't because they get some sort of special buy on ammunition that the other shops aren't getting. They just don't price gouge their customers like some of the other shops have been able to do because of supply shortages The staff has always been helpful and is very knowledgeable and courteous. Whenever I am looking to purchase a new firearm or stock up on ammunition, I always go to The Gun Shop first. They have earned my business and loyalty.
