Will you sponsor our CEO Jasmijn run an off-road, hilly half-marathon & raise £440 ...to help us carry on sharing the benefits of vegan living?
There are just 5 days to go until Jasmijn de Boo runs the Great Trail Challenge in the English Lakes this Sunday. This is only her 2nd race ever! Will you donate, to help us carry on work like our Making History animation, our Guide to Vegan Living Web site, our vegan advocacy work & more?
Jasmijn says, "Inspired by Fiona Oakes’ extreme Marathon des Sables race achievement [http://www.towerhillstables.com/MdSreport2012.html
] I foolishly signed up for a half marathon in the hilly Lake District on 17 June. My level of fitness & running experience are nowhere near that of my colleague Mike Tomkins, Sales & Membership Coordinator, who easily runs half a marathon in cold, wet and windy conditions getting hailed upon, in just one hour & 35 minutes, let alone approaching anything like Fiona’s stamina. However, the Lake District trail challenge is only my second race I will ever have done, so I was hoping that you, our valued supporters, would be so kind to sponsor me to help raise funds for the Vegan Society.
"If you like our recent ‘Make History’ animation [http://vimeo.com/thevegansociety/making-history
] ; our new ‘Guide to Vegan Living’ website: [http://www.guidetoveganliving.org.uk/
] ; our advocacy work; our influencing of caterers, retailers & manufacturers to increase vegan options; & encouraging people to take the Vegan Pledge & learn about the benefits of a plant-based lifestyle, please donate today. I am trying to raise at least £440, which would be £20 for every kilometre run. Please donate generously to help even more people & companies transition to a vegan & sustainable world. It would really help me to know that your support for The Vegan Society is ultimately the best solution to address animal cruelty, environmental damage & social food justice issues. Thank you very much!"
for race information. Best wishes, Amanda
