Has anybody got experience with the Soloman Equipe RC Skin skis? I tried the Atomic skintecs at a demo a few years back, but the glide was not enough better than my touring skis for me to anticipate skipping the waxable classics on most days. It may have be exacerbated a bit by not having demo skis to match my weight.

MS responds to the issue in my blog  post from yesterday where I show a workaround to a problem in Visual Studio 2012 related to TFS,  with this http://blogs.msdn.com/b/phkelley/archive/2013/05/31/tf400030-the-local-data-store-is-currently-in-use-by-another-operation.aspx ….

Not a great answer, but a couple more workarounds are offered

Crust skiing!!! Legs and arms are shaking, face is grinning. Even did some drift jumps but hope nobody was watching.

In the words of Andy Newell, "There's a new definition of bad ass in the dictionary and it's Johan Olsson". 35k alone for the win.

Norway in the women's relay today, now that is a dream team. Happy for the US finish with Jessie Diggins clawing back to 4th and amazing leg by Liz Stephen

So no (American) Birkie stories? It was my 16th time across the start line on Saturday, pretty low key for me because I had barely trained and was starting pretty far up in waves, so my expectations were low. No matter, the line is drawn in the sand each year, you must be fit enough to finish each year, and after that it's just bragging rights. This was another Korte for me, the 5th after doing 9 full races. Better than expected but fell back in places as expected. Next year!

Anybody else? Other big races, Vasalopet, Norwegian Birkie, others?

Thought this was worth sharing, a condensed version of the US women's historic first team relay win. This is especially close to home for us in the Midwest because Jessie Diggins was racing our kids in regional races as a High School kid just a few years back.  Congratulations Kikkan and Jessie!
