If you're from the Cleveland area, you already know the Heinen's family name. For ready to cook or pre-cooked dinner options, it rivals restaurant in the area. Always friendly staff, fresh and local produce along with always being a super clean store is worth the small price premium over the super-store chains.

Heinens is by far a fantastic grocery store. Perfectly priced high quality food will keep you coming back. The best part is the outstanding customer service.

A bizzare place to shop. Everything is massively over-priced. I can only imagine those too feeble minded to know what things cost and those on food stamps who are letting the state pay for their food would ever shop here. Add to that the truly bizarre practices like refusing to let customers take carts outside the store and you have a recipe for a business run right into the ground. They offer ultra-ridiculous high prices similar to Giant Eagle, but give little to justify it.

Check out lines are always really long. Thai Coconuts are way over priced along with some of the produce.

I moved away from Cleveland a couple of years ago and one of the things I miss the most is Heinen's. I've compared it many times to the other big grocery game in town and it's definitely not any more expensive. The produce is fantastic, especially in the summer when they feature most of their produce from Ohio farms. I lived for years a few blocks away from the RR store and was there almost every day. I loved that I could find fresh ingredients for whatever meal I wanted to make. The meats are excellent quality, the artisan bread always fresh, the deli well-stocked, and always a great bottle of wine or beer available to boot. I've never had anything bad to say about Heinen's (except, I might add, the mysterious Cheese Strudel that contained no cheese in the ingredients... but, yeah, I don't need to eat cheese strudel anyway). Even the staff is really friendly. I just went in December over the holidays when I was back in town and on the day before Christmas when the store was crawling with customers, I asked someone where something was, and he STILL walked me to the aisle and showed me instead of taking the *cough*gianteagle*cough* way out and growling "10B" at me.
