The "sambal terasi" comes with varieties of spiciness level. I ordered the medium level and the spiciness was managable for me considering I'm not a big fan of spicy food. The taste of the "sambal terasi" are the one that makes the food taste awesome. It taste very sharp at first, but mixed it with the other content then you'll get to experience the designed taste.
The chicken breast fried perfectly with traditional seasoning , it wasn't too crispy so that It wasn't eliminate the original fried chicken taste. The shreded beef meat was a bit too dry for me, although it was still taste good. The pan fried egg taste like home cook and it was good, the thickness is perfect. The meatball called "bakwan" is one of the best part of the overall ingredients. You should just taste it to know it...
As the side dish I also ordered "sayur asem" it was sone sort of vegetable soup with a sour taste, it was a perfect mix, add some freshness to the "penyet" as you sip the soup while eating the "penyet".
I strongly recommend this restaurant if you ever visited surabaya. But remember that each location have their plus minus such as crowded space and lack of parking space
The staff mostly ignorant , and more that several times i caught them napping in behind the reception counter when there is no guest.
Yes, the guest is rarely in lobby area...
