After a classical portrait and a nude shot (all these pumps and pipes, it's so sexy), here is the third photograph for this the gas station anatomy.
A little more intimate and abstract night photography :)

I always liked gas stations lost on country roads, artificial islands of light planted in the middle of nowhere.
Unfortunately, I live in the city where the term "country roads" is nonsense, so I do with what I've got at my disposal.
So when a new gas station emerges in the heart of Paris, and yet seems out of nowhere at night, I take my time to study it and reveal its anatomy.

Happy owner of a Samsung S2 mobile phone, I installed a few months ago the Gotya! widget.
This little tool allows you to "secure" your phone. Anyone who tries to access your phone, without getting the right combination to unlock the screen is automatically photographed.
Then, you receive on your mailbox the photo and the GPS position of the "criminal" ! :)

In theory, this is very nice!
...
In practice, you quickly realizes that it pollutes your mailbox with pictures of your own face, being unable to remember the proper unlock code.
The idea was to play with this tool. So I methodically change the unlock code every week, to fail the identitification even more than usual :)
And you get a very ugly patchwork of self-portraits, ideal for a publication in August :)

Moving the tripod, finding a new spot, small settings adjustments and click !
Here is the most conventional frame of this anatomy.
This is probably the way that 90% of people would have photographed this gas station (but you have to admit that not everybody would have took that photograph at 1:30 am).
Beautiful lines of flight, a nice ratio 2/3, 1/3, eyes are inevitably attracted to the spotlights at the center of the screen.

I had already had a glimpse of this beautiful concrete descent punctuated with neon lights, but inevitably the door closed after a few seconds. So let me thank this anonymous neighbor, who forgot last night to close the door of the underground garage of the building adjacent to mine.

French photographer Richard Vantielcke - Conceptual and narrative photography / Photographie conceptuelle et narrative du photographe Richard Vantielcke
Introduction

French photographer Richard Vantielcke defines itself as a guardian of the legacy of surrealist painter Rene Magritte, whether in his work on urban architecture, conceptual photography or portrait and self-portrait photography.

Through night photography and light and shadow, this photographer tries to sublimate the everyday, by giving it a touch of mystery, strangeness, and weirdness sometimes ...

Cinephile from an early age, Richard Vantielcke has repeatedly tried a unique approach to narrative photography through "photo novels", mixing narrative cinema and meaningful photographic framing construction to serve a story.

-------------------------------------------------------------
