To launch National Poetry Month on campus, former Pennsylvania State Poet Sam Hazo will be reading from his work on the Seton Hill campus on Monday, April 3rd, 7pm, in addition to selling and signing his latest books. The event will be held in the Parlors, followed by a casual wine social (8:15pm) for friends of Sam Hazo. I'm designing a new SHU Course for Fall 2017: EL 250 Major Writers and Genres: MONSTROSITIES! This entry-level literature course has no prerequisites and will involve regular reading of an array of novels, short stories and articles about monsters of all kinds. Some film, art and creative work will also be involved. ENROLLING SOON!
