Another milestone: Automatic bed leveling!
Rather than using a Z-probe, I am using force sensitive resistors underneath the glass plate which detects the touch of the hotend on the glass. It works flawlessly!

Congrats. Can't wait to get it up and running on my delta bot.

I just became a backer of MicroView.
It's a tiny arduino with a built in OLED display - really innovative stuff!

I love this. It's so hypnotic.
A strange, but incredibly well executed work of art that is a curious combination of both architecture and animation.

So I just wrote a Graham's Scan algorithm in javascript and thought I should share.

See it in action here: http://thomas.tolbol.dk/grahamscan/

What is Graham's Scan?
It's an algorithm for turning a bunch of points into a convex hull, which is pretty useful if you're creating physics for a game or something like that.
It takes a bunch of points (any number of points really, as long as it's more than 2) and creates the smallest possible convex shape that will hold all of the points.

Is it fast?
Yep. It will run through 40.000 points in roughly 1/10th of a second.

Can I use it in my project?
Yep. It's GPL v2 licensed.

Where's the source code?
Here: https://github.com/ninjinx/Graham-Scan

This is bullshit.
Why does Facebook need new permissions for reading my messages, adding and deleting calendar events and inviting guests, as well as full network access for an update which they claim only contains "bug fixes"?

Reached a major milestone today. I got my delta printer powered up. The axes moves as they should and it homes perfectly. It's not done yet, but just seeing it finally move felt great!

I loathe this.  Have to do it on the extruder drive on DMs; we have since swapped to motors with plugs on them so we can have some company put together pre-sleeved tethers for us. :D

A good reference of the stacking order in CSS

Nice overview of CSS z-index property + stacking contexts and order logic: http://bit.ly/1fb3DJH ... Finally cleared up a bunch of long outstanding questions I had about it!

If I had to pick one reason why Google Now is awesome it would be this:
If you say "Okay google, make me a sandwich" it responds with "What? Make it yourself" which is pretty funny by itself, but if you say "Sudo make me a sandwich" it says "Okay"

(If you don't know why this is so awesome: http://xkcd.com/149/ )

I got "You are a sandwich" when I just tried it. Wtf - that never happened before.

Disclaimer: She said something almost inaudible, but it contained the word "sandwich".
