Spot on BBQ place in NYC. We had a office party and the order, delivery, and service was spot on. Neatly delivered with all the necessary serving and eating utensils. I would of liked a bottle of the bbq sauce to be delivered as well but the bbq was the highlight. Great marbled brisket. Tender full of flavor. The ribs were tender and great on the palate as well. The dry rub mix had a great spicey flavor. Wonderful mac and cheese. Cheesy goodness. And the highlight which i was suprised about was the spicey bbq wings. The wings had a great flavor and i could of eaten a bucket of them. Had that nice bbq taste from grilling. All the food was served hot which i was impressed from delivery. Pricey but definitely one of the choice spots for bbq.

Amazing!! The brisket was the best I ever had, pulled pork is to die for and the Mac and cheese is what dreams are made of. Drinks are strong and the atmosphere is great. You can't go wrong here--I come on every visit to New York.

First impression: The place smells great. This is good for a BBQ place. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn't quite live up to the initial impression. Don't get me wrong, there was a lot of good, but it was accompanied by some meh and some bad Good: My pulled pork was delicious, my friend loved her ribs, the BBQ chips with blue cheese bacon dip were fantastic (though less fantastic as the bacon quickly disappeared), another friend really enjoyed the sweet potato wedges with maple dip (the maple dip also paired nicely with the BBQ chips). The Lynchberg Lemonade was amazing. I'm not sure who came up with the idea to put Jack Daniels into Lemonade, but that person should get some sort of award. On the subject of good people, our server was excellent. Meh: The Spicy Cheese Fries had a ton of cheese and were very good, except for the fact they lacked any spice. If they were on the menu as simply Cheese Fries, they would have made the Good list. In the same vein, the cheddar wafers also lacked the cayenne spice mentioned on the menu. They were fine, tasted just like Cheez-Its (Sadly I'm a Cheese Nips kind of guy). Honestly, they're not worth the $3 you pay for them. They're definitely more of a bread on the table substitute that should just be there or offered. The Beef Brisket didn't get rave reviews by the two of us that tried it. Bad: The Pit Beans. There is no way I will believe these didn't come out of a can. Not even a good can at that. If the goal was to make a tomato based sauce that tasted like watered down Spaghetti-Os sauce, they succeeded. If the thought of watered down Spaghetti-Os sauce on beans makes you happy, you would like the beans. Really Bad Because I am a Picky Person That No One Likes: The Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae. It was very good, but the brownie was a cakey brownie and not a fudgy brownie. Cakey brownies are a crime against nature. If you're going to make a cakey brownie just call it a small piece of cake, don't make people think they're going to get a rich, chewy, dense blast of chocolately goodness. That's just unkind. In the end the evening was enjoyable but I'm not certain I'd go back to Blue Smoke. If I did, I'd be happier grabbing a seat at the bar and having a couple of the appetizers and a Lynchberg Lemonade or going to their spot at New Shea and just getting a Pulled Pork Sandwich.

They've changed a lot within the last few years. For the worst I'm sad to say. Food is alright. They lowered the portion sizes for the same price + on most dishes.

Very popular dinner joint. Sat upstairs and got a seat almost immediately (we were a party of 6). Food is good. Service is a little slow, though.

Heard so much about this place. Decided to visit it with a friend on an early Saturday evening. We'd have to wait 15 minutes if we wanted a table indoors but since it wasn't cold outside, we opted for a table outdoors. It was peaceful and quiet, except for the noise from the pub across the road. We ordered baby pork ribs, chicken & biscuits, mac & cheese and a salad. The food certainly didn't disappoint us. It was sumptuous as expected. The staff was really friendly. He offered us a special Blue Smoke home-made spicy sauce, which wasn't too spicy but adds a tangy taste to the fried chicken when we tried it. Overall, each of us spent $40 which left us feeling really full and satisfied. If you're craving for some comfort food, Blue Smoke might be a good place to consider.
