I've been reading many who think Congress has the right to partake in Foreign Relations, making the Logan Act invalid.  Apparently, Chief Justice John Marshall did not agree.

"As John Marshall, the most illustrious chief justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, who held the post from 1801 to 1835, argued (and was later quoted in the United States v. Curtiss-Wright): “The president is the sole organ of the nation in its external relations, and its sole representative with foreign nations.” '

+Jeff Ehrhart If the situations were reversed, we would be screaming for Impeachment, which might actually be doable.  If you can Impeach a President for sleeping around, ( I'd love to see the true % of how many Presidents are guilty on that one ) surely we can Impeach a sitting Senator for interfering with Foreign Affairs.

But in answer, no I don't figure anything will be done.  Just want to make sure they know it ought to happen.

from A History of Roads in Virginia / Augusta County.  Even in 1772 this country used joint resources to for the sick and the poor.  Read the following to see how.

In 1772, the Virginia legislature cleared the way for what probably was the first toll road in America, when it authorized Augusta County to build a highway over the mountain between Jenning's Gap and Warm Springs and to establish a toll gate. The road, as outlined by the legislature, was to be financed with 300 pounds advanced by the colony and 900 pounds raised by a lottery. Revenue collected from travelers was to be spent for the upkeep of the road and "towards building... housing for the reception of the poor sick resorting to the said springs."

For our 47 Numbnut Senators - Good Job !  NOT.

Can we Impeach these Numbskulls and try again to elect some representatives with good judgement and will put their country first?

+Robert Carney its time someone stood up to them. I think we still have freedom of speech. Where does obama get off by going over everyone heads and making all the decisions himself. This is a republic. The three branches of government does not mean "me, myself and I" or like he said, "my pen, my phone and I".
