Does your practice serve elderly patients, or those who are caregivers to an elderly person? No matter your practice specialty, chances are the answer to that is yes.   The first step in understanding how you can be a resource to them, is understanding what they need and the pressures they face.

This article from +Assisted Living Directory  outlines a piece of the enormity that caregivers face in navigating the maze of Medicaid and Waivers..it is written with Colorado as the subject, but similar questions and obstacles apply all over. Read more here: http://www.assisted-living-directory.com/content/colorado-waiver.cfm

What are you doing in your practice to provide resources and information to those you serve?

Did you know that:

Over 60,500 searchers in the U.S.  type in the phrase “Assisted Living Facilities” into Google each month?

And that over 165,000 searchers in the U.S.  type in the phrase “Senior Care” into Google each month?

Yes, you CAN use internet marketing as a means to reach Senior Care decision makers.

It's National Sleep Awareness Week (appropriately ending with Daylight Savings Time beginning..) What will you be doing to provide information for those looking to you for health related information on the important correlation between sleep and health?

Vaccines have gone from non-existent to mainstream and in recent years been a topic of controversy for some. What do you see in your patient sentiment regarding this? What do you advise?

Be careful to not put the sentiment, reputation, and visibility of your Practice at risk. Great article at Forbes on using a holistic, ethical approach to SEO. At New Patients Internet Marketing, these are part of our normal marketing flow.

"A new genre of SEO agencies is emerging ... focus on ethics in SEO. They take the time to outline the methods they use to market a website. These SEOs focus on slow but steady link building and other marketing techniques that build your site’s reputation and audience without putting your site at risk for a fall the next time Google changes its algorithm."

Happy to see people so quick to put together guides to follow for the new Google+ Cover Photo updates!

Tips for switching so the important stuff doesn't get covered up!

Obviously with the huge amount of real estate we have in this latest Google+ update, business pages and personal brands have the opportunity to really put together an awesome message and story.

So, I took the morning off after finally getting the new profile, and "sketched" out a style guide. Here you go!

Hopefully I'll turn this into a more official blog post, but I figured I'd save everybody the headache. You should be able to download this photo, load it into Photoshop, and then create your own based off the color blocks. Any questions I'll do my best to help!

You hear a lot of talk about providing value to your clients online, and creating good content. This isn't just the latest buzz-phrase or trend. Consumers want and search for information. If you aren't providing it, they will find it somewhere else.

Have you evaluated your content strategy recently? We can help you!

It's easy to assume we know what our clients want to know. Sometimes the best way to keep that assumption in check is to get your staff involved, especially those that have direct contact with patients. What do the patients ask them about? Express worry and concern about? THAT is what your patients will value from you.
