Google Introduces Targeting Improvements To Help More Marketers “Get Local” For Holidays.

More than 80 – 90 percent of online consumers do research before buying offline. This has been documented by several surveys and it makes anecdotal and intuitive sense. Yet most marketers appear to have not fully understood this until recently.

Facebook's new money spinner!

Facebook could soon let developers pay to buy search keyword ads in App Center search typeahead, similar to the specific name ads in its site-wide search typeahead. And if App Center goes beyond the typeahead and launches a search results page, it could host full-blown AdWords-style search ads.

The Social Commerce Attribution Problem!

Twitter and Facebook usually aren’t the last click before an ecommerce buy, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t inspire or influence the purchase.

“Google Now” Moving Well Beyond Search, Becoming Mobile Assistant.

Google Voice Search + Google Now are conditioning mobile users to interact with smartphones in very different ways than how people have historically searched on the PC. Mobile or virtual assistant is the new metaphor.

Top heavy gets some more punishment !

Stacking ads at the top of web pages might seem like a good monetisation tactic, but not if Google punish your Search Ranking for being top heavy.

More TV Channels for YouTube !

YouTube, or moreover Google, has added another 60 channels to the already 100 available on the video sharing service.  This positions Google for more advertising revenue.

Personal life.

Born in Brisbane, then moved to the Sunshine Coast aged one, and lived most of my younger life there. Lived in the country town of Cooroy for 6.5 years before moving to the tourist mecca of Noosa. Did a bit of surfing, but was more into motorbikes, because they went faster. I'm a competitive type of person, and love things that go fast, and as such, I love my motorsport. I've done quite a bit of karting in my day.

Became a mechanic doing my apprenticeship and working at my father's Honda dealership in Cooroy, and then doing RACQ breakdown work in Noosa. Moved back to Brisbane in my early twenties to build a career in IT.

Now have two boys, Michael and Tom, who bring me much joy, and help to keep me young.

Glorious view of the Brisbane River was the start to a great stay at the Brisbane Riverview Hotel. The rooms are among the nicest we've stayed in. Restaurant staff were very helpful, and had extremely pleasant nature. The staff overall were professional and most accommodating. Recommend the Brisbane Riverview Hotel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Brisbane.
