A year after receiving knee stem cell therapy with Dr. Dennis Lox, a 59 year old woman simply said thank you. Her story was more interesting. A year before she couldn’t walk any great distance without severe knee pain. She felt like crying over her situation as her doctors told her the only option was having both knees totally replaced. She commented if I had never met Dr. Lox, I would have done the knee replacement surgery. She researched alternative therapies, arriving at stem cell therapy, and concluded that Dr. Dennis Lox a world renown stem cell expert was the doctor she choose.

She had a traditional improvement pattern following stem cell therapy over several months. She continued to see improvement in her functional level and diminished knee pain. At the year mark after her stem cell therapy, she was extremely pleased she opted for stem cell therapy and not two knee replacement surgeries.

Dr. Lox notes, knees are the most commonly treated joint with stem cells.

Dr. Lox has treated nearly every imaginable joint, from injury to arthritis. It is also Dr. Lox’s diversity in patients from professional Football and Baseball players, Ballerinas, concert pianists, and to 90 year olds, that has resulting in his experience, and better understanding of the science and art of medicine.

Dr. Lox has authored scientific articles and abstracts, edited two Medical Textbooks, written eight medical textbook chapters, and lectures internationally on Regenerative Medicine and Stem Cell Therapy. Dr. Lox maintains an active Sports and Regenerative Medicine practice in Beverly Hills, California and the Tampa Bay, Florida area.

One hip stem cell patient from outside the Washington D.C. area in Virginia, is well known and very dear to Dr. Lox. He has known her and her husband for years. Even visiting her home in the Virginia countryside. She is originally from Germany and keeps a home there. Her and her husband thought if they were spending an extended stay in Germany perhaps they could get a tuneup stem cell treatment near them in Germany. Much to her surprise and delight she found her beloved alma mater University in Germany advertising Dr. Lox’s name “as a world famous stem cell therapist” . She relayed this information to her family internist and Dr. Lox.

Dr. Lox has lectured internationally on various stem cell and Regenerative Medicine topics.

He has found his writings on post from England to New Zealand. The Internet seems to have a mind of its own, except search engines and now social media propel information to places once unimaginable. As English has become somewhat of the universal language scientific papers on stem cells are posted real time on the Internet. Even Chinese papers are printed in both Chinese and English. Dr. Lox has treated many different types of athletes with stem cells. Including martial artists. In one week he saw a Wushu (an early version of Bruce Lee’s style before Jeet Kung Do) martial artist, a multi-disciplined martial artist now specializing in Kung Fu, and an Aikido Black belt (Steven Segal’s Discipline).

All were highly disciplined life long students of martial arts with unique injuries that sought out Dr. Lox for stem cell therapy. The Wushu artist was not your typical martial artist seeking stem cells for an injury. He was a true old school master and 80 years old. He reminded Dr. Lox of one of the old masters from the television series Kung Fu with David Carradine. His knee was now bothering him from degenerative arthritis. Not atypical for an 80 year old, or someone who has partaken in physical sports for decades. Of special interest was his knee examination. His shins were scarred almost appearing as though he had previous surgery. He had not. It turned out rather than kick trees, as Jean Claude Van Damme did in his movie Kickboxer, training in Thailand for a Muai Tai tournament. This patient hit himself for decades with sticks to toughen his shins. One look at his hands showed another tell tale sign Dr. Lox has seen often, his knuckles were enlarged and calloused. Indicative of board breaking and other hand striking over a long duration. This patient was a delight in knowledge, and as a physically well conditioned athlete irrespective of age.

He had done his research on Dr. Lox and had found that Dr. Lox was highly recommended by some people he knew for stem cell treatments. He opted to undergo knee stem cell therapy with Dr. Lox. He said afterwards it was simple and he felt great. To prove his point he proceeded to show Dr. Lox and his staff he still could do the splits, and he did so 5 minutes after having his knees injected. Never judge a book by its cover.

Teen Canadian with Hip AVN Flies to Beverly Hills, California To Treat with Dr. Lox

A teenager, who developed post traumatic Avascular Necrosis (AVN) of the hip, consulted Dr. Dennis Lox after his family was confounded that there was no option offered except wait till his hip fell apart and get a total hip replacement. This was not acceptable to him or his family, and after researching stem cell therapy. They decided to fly from Canada to treat with Dr. Lox at his Beverly Hills, California office.

Dr. Lox explained the entire process, the process of AVN, and stem cell and Regenerative Medicine.

Dr. Lox has treated many young and older patients both athletes with post traumatic Avascular Necrosis (AVN) and AVN that arises from other etiologies. Dr. Lox has had several younger patients with post traumatic AVN return to their sport and gets college scholarships after receiving stem cell therapy.

Avascular Necrosis (AVN) arises when blood flow to a region of bone is disrupted (avascular or ischemia) leading to bone cell death (necrosis). This area of necrotic bone may collapse leading to a rapid degeneration of the bone or severe arthritis. This often leads to a recommendation for total joint replacement. Often this results in seeking alternatives to this, and researching stem cell treatments. This is especially more significantly an issue in young patients, or athletes desiring to return to their chosen sport. Young patients who undergo hip or other joint replacement therapy will wear their prosthetic joint out at a young age and lead to another joint replacement. This occurs while still at a relatively young age resulting in lack of options eventually except fusion of the joint. This is unpalatable to young patients and athletes. Athletes who undergo joint replacement often cannot return to their chosen sport. The legendary Professional football and baseball player Bo Jackson developed hip AVN after being tackled in a football game. He never returned to professional football, but did return to play professional baseball for one year.

Dr. Lox notes that patients are fascinated with Regenerative Medicine and knowledge of stem cells and applications towards medicine. Nearly all major Universities have Regenerative Medicine and stem cell research departments. There are still countries where stem cell treatments are not available and the proximity of the United States to Canada makes treatment easier.
