Entering technical fields can be daunting to anyone but historically women enter at lower rates than men. Women represent 12% of computer science grads and hold only 25% of technical jobs, despite the massive demand. So what’s holding women back?

Join us for a hangout on Friday, June 27th at 2 pm EST to give you the low down on what it is like to be a women in tech in a “brogrammer” world.

We’ll ask questions like:

1. How did you end up in the tech world? Has it changed since you first started?
2. What is the culture like where you work now? Do they do anything to  make it more female-friendly?
3.  What are the benefits to being a woman in this space?
4. What are the biggest barriers you’ve experienced?
5. Do you believe having female mentors is important?  Who inspires you?
6. How would the field be different if there were more women?
7. What is your most compelling reason to join a technical field?
8. What can we do to get more women excited about STEM?
9. The whole “women in tech” movement has become such a buzz worthy topic recently. Do you feel that’s empowering or marginalizing?
10. What advice would you give someone just starting out?

BEST MUSIC VIDEO EVER!! Like seriously, the only way to top this would be to have puppies (or Martians) in space singing and playing guitar.
