Great food, awesome atmosphere! A little crowded but that shows how good it is! I recommend the poutine and the mashed potter tots they were awesome!

One of my favorite wine bars in NYC. Loud place when it's full. Also AC tends to be blasting.

Casual wine bar on the border of west village/Chelsea. Went here on a first date - and it was the perfect location for that. Casual, nice, but not too crazy. Wine selection looked great- and while the bartenders were nice - they weren't super helpful. The long squiggly couches are seat yourself - don't assume they are taken. I preferred a spot at the bar, which was full but not packed on a Wednesday night. I will definitely be back.

One of the few bars in the city that serves Georgian wines. They keep a few great bottles on rotation almost year round.

Cute little wine bar with redbrick walls. We sat at the bar and had a few glasses of elegant wines, but I can highly recommend the ricotta, sea salt & honey crostini.

Anfora is my favorite wine bar in the west village. Friendly and not to formal with a wine list that ranges from accessible to extraordinarily eclectic and interesting. Regular wine classes make this place even more charming. Service is remarkably friendly and it serves great snack food. Try the crostini! Love this place.

If you're looking for a wine bag that's trendy but not too trendy, intimate, and has a great selection of wines, liquor, and mixed drinks, this is THE place. The staff is very friendly (Tony is my favorite; he is very knowledgeable of every wine/liquor there). They also have wonderful finger foods (my favorites are the ricotta cheese and honey and the cured meats and cheeses). I love going here if I just want to relax and have a few glasses of wine. The crowd is always diverse and so is the music that lightly plays in the background. You might even spot a celebrity here and there.

The first I heard of this wine bar was from someone who doesn't live in New York. They recommended it highly as an exemplary establishment. They have an unusual selection of wines and beers from all over the world. Expect to not know any labels or bottles but love every drop. On my last visit, I enjoyed a wonderful bottle of Jura- just one of the many choices. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable and can easily assist you with your choice.
