Laser drilled arrays of precision micro holes down to of a few microns diameter, with 50:1 or better aspect ratio and exceptional accuracy, repeatability and positioning. Go way beyond the limitations of mechanical drilling and avoid the cost, risk and delays associated with tool failures.

Laser Drilled Probe Cards
The advantages of non-contact laser processing for probe card drilling include:

Micro-Hole Drilling
Precision Laser micro-hole drilling is a key capability from OpTek Systems.   Laser micro hole drilling is widely applied to the creation of precisely controlled orifices for applications that demand a combination of small diameter, exceptional quality and exacting tolerances.  At OpTek Systems we are able to draw on a wide range of laser sources to deliver precision micro hole drilling in any material.  Through a combination of careful laser selection with state of the art optical and mechanical techniques, we are able to control not only the diameter of the hole but also its shape and profile.
Laser micro hole drilling is routinely being applied to hole diameters of a few microns to a few hundred microns.  It is possible to drill round holes, square holes and other shapes, and we are able to control the shape of the hole through the material to create cylindrical, tapered or more complex profiles.
Laser micro hole drilling is used in an increasing range of applications for use as guide holes, spray orifices, sampling and metering, drug delivery, calibration standards and much more.  
OpTek Systems can assist with your micro hole drilling requirements from new process development and input to your design process, through to full production.  We are happy to support your ongoing production needs either through the provision of sub-contract laser drilling service or through the supply of production line equipment for your own facility.
