If you're ready to go big, you could hardly do better than swagging out at S&D. The brilliant prix fixe left us desiring exactly nothing; the wine pairing matched each dish perfectly; and the service--from the attentive waitstaff to the creative plateware and accoutrement--was delightful. Next to this, everything else is Cleveland.

If you are looking for a beautiful meal that uses seasonal ingredients that are local and prepared to be mouth watering, this is the joint. Although it is a bit pricey, the service was great and the overall experience will have me coming back when I want to break bread for that special occasion.

I've been meaning to try this place for a while; finally got the chance tonight. Great food that is extremely fresh and creatively prepared. I found each course to be a thoughtful, creative blending of flavors and textures that managed to avoid the excesses of overly ambitious culinary experimentation that is so prevalent in high profile restaurants today. Artful, slightly eclectic wine list (and beers) that really complimented the menu in both taste and creativity. The service was perfect! Keenly attentive without being overbearing. Zagat gives this restaurant very high marks with a 26. I think they are a point or two too low. This place is memorable.

I had an amazing experience starting from the friendly staff down to every last delicious bite. Our table wasn't in view of the open kitchen, but I enjoyed "spying" what was going on when I'd walk by :) The food was truly a delight and they substituted one of the dishes, due to dietary restrictions, with no issues. In fact, the new dish was one of my personal favorites of the night :) The menu changes seasonally and is prix fixe, but all the dishes were wonderful! A lot of their ingredients come from their farm in Los Gatos, so that's definitely a plus for those that love sustainable locally grown food. Last note on the service: The Maitre D, noticed I was admiring the photographs on the wall and spoke to me about it for a few minutes, telling me more about them. :)

Had a wonderful dining experience here featuring some really nice, fresh local ingredients and simple but solid preparations. Dishes were assembled with care and finesse, and the open kitchen design allows one to view the preparation process directly. The restaurant offers a "beverage pairing" with its dishes -- "beverage" as the selection isn't exclusively wine. My experience there included a beer pairing which performed beautifully. Breads service is also paired with specific dishes, and in fact, one of the breads (a toasted cornbread) was among the most memorable items. Service is extremely attentive and the staff is quite affable. The restaurant is fairly small and simply appointed. Nothing super posh, but it works nicely with the style of food and the character of the place.

The food here was amazing! Everything was delicious and beautifully presented. I especially love that they use their own farm for ingredients whenever possible. You have to commit to their set tasting menu but I thought it was worth it.
