with such a popularisation of burritos in london, i couldn't but make that extra effort to go one of the first places in london that made burritos worth your time, money and most of all, satisfaction. 3 years ago i was introduced to Benito's and would go every now and then after a work out to have a complete meal rich in proteins. unfortunately, today it wasn't what i expected, in fact it was a total dissapointment to find out Benito's has just turned out to become just like the competition: small burritos with less than 30g of meat, full of rice, cheese and salsas/sauces. the joke for such a mean portion and a diet coke: £8. i paid £6 for a bowl of rice with lettuce, cheese, bread and mayo and £2 for a diet coke. not to mention the poor conditions in which i found the premises.

As far as Burrito's go this place deserves a 4* ... it has a great selection very fast service and most of the time great and helpful staff.. except for odd one out. ;) things I like the best are the option to mix your meat portions if you aren't just satisfied with just one type of selection and they charge you for the most expensive one regardless :) you can choose all the stuff that goes into your Burrito so you can actually make a healthy choices ... nice place to sit and see the people passing buy with a bottle of Modelo Beer ;)

It's unfussy, but blimey those are great burritos. Nice, if a bit bland, to sit in, or there's a couple of tables outside on the (busy) road. Good happy hour for cocktails as well if you're there early enough.

Usually decent but quality can vary hugely on the time of day and who serves you. Most of the time I go to Freebird next door!

Great selection of fillings, really friendly service and decent sized portions. I'd happily recommend this place for anyone interested in eating a burrito. There's ample space to eat inside the place and the atmosphere/decor is great.

Pretty unremarkable overall. The portions were stingy at best and the price well above other burrito places nearby. I think they missed the point - quick service doesn't make up for a poor product! I won't be back

Benito's Hat is great for a burrito fix, and you veggies will be pleased! They've got more than "just one" vegetarian option on offer for you. And I'm happy to say that they are both delicious, though I prefer the traditional beans option over tofu. The staff are nice and the guys who run it take great pride in offering exclusive options, such as the lamb burrito they had last winter! (Which I'm now kicking myself for not trying... I'll have to go back to see if they still have it!) Take a seat at the back and enjoy your burrito indoors, or take it to go because burritos are designed as takeaway food. Either way, find time to visit Benito's Hat!
